Created from an idea of the British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, author of the underwater sculpture park in the Caribbean island of Granada and the Underwater Museum (Musa) Isla de las Mujeres in Mexico, the Atlantic Museum of Lanzarote, in the archipelago the Canary Islands, is located in the Las Coloradas Bay and consists of a series of artistic installations that represent different everyday scenarios with characters inspired by the island’s inhabitants.

The museum will be officially opened on 25 February and it will also be composed of a submarine botanical garden that, with the statues, will create an artificial reef able to attract and preserve species of fish and marine flora.
